The original line up of the band were called The TB4 and played all over Manchester and surrounding areas.

Then George (the drummer) left to go to Australia , where he still lives.

Needing a drummer we found Alan Vernon and hence changed our name to The Alan Vernon Set.

  • Alll the Rowntrees clubs,  notably Rowntrees Sound
  • Alma Lodge, Stockport
  • All the Manchester  taxi drivers gigs at Belle Vue with Jimmy Savile
