Bernard Wrigley

Singer/guitarist Bernard Wrigley "The Bolton Bullfrog" played at folk clubs like the MSG in Central Manchester from the mid 1960s as one half of Dave & Bernard. They began to write music for and perform in documentaries and plays at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, issuing a 7" LP from there.

When they split in Dec 69, Bernard joined the Ken Campbell Roadshow where he began writing songs and monologues. As an actor he has played in many of Alan Bennett's TV dramas, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Dinner Ladies and the like. Recently he's well known as Dodgy Eric for bringing the phallic bouncy castle on Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights.

Quintessentially English, his singing and storytelling have taken him to Cyprus, the Middle East and Hong Kong.
