"This one was in Hannover. Note the Baldwin Burns guitars and amps . They gave us those to endorse, I've no idea what where they went . It was a great club . We spent a month there. The ceiling used to open up half way through the night to let all the smoke out! We lived back stage and the other half of the building was a cinema. The rooms were behind the screen , I often wondered if they could see us moving about!."

The Playboys had a No 1 hit in France with a four-track EP on Barclay records where the ‘A’ track was ‘Woolly Bully’ coupled with two James Brown songs – ‘And I do Just What I Want’ & ‘Tell Me What You’re Gonna Do’, and ‘Lipstick Traces’.

There was also a ‘Manchester Playboys Show’ broadcast on Belgian radio in 15 minute weekly slots from a two-hour live performance in Ghent.

Anybody got a copy of the tape?
