John Murphy was a member of this group on lead guitar before he joined Deke Rivers & The Big Sound.
Apparently, K.D.& The Deltas did a spot in normal stagegear and another as The Flintstones wearing cavemen outfits and few of the audience realised it was the same group!

I saw Kirk Daniels and the Deltas at Stockport Town Hall a couple of times around 1961/2. At the time they were billed as "Kirk Daniels and the Deltas, Featuring Ricky and Dane Young". They were terrific!
Ricky and Dane Young were actually Alan Clark and Graham Nash who went on to form the Hollies.
The whole band were good but they were Stars in the making. John Murphy was the best guitarist I had ever seen at the time, with the possible exception of Pete Cowap of the Country Gents.
