I used to work with Mike Smith of the Semi-Tones at Henry Boots in Altincham.If I remember correctly he made a mammoth Base Amp in the joiners yard.How he managed to transport it in his Mini I'll never know.
I went to Wellington Road School with Roger Heywood. His Dad was a referee in the Altrincham football leagues.It was a pity that they lost a Talent contest to Hermans Hermits in Sale as the Hermits went on to much greater things.
