The Senators mainly played at Church Halls,Youth Clubs,School Dances and other functions within the Leigh, Atherton, Astley, Tyldesley, Lowton and Hindley areas.
Originally known as The Crusaders at the time, they were the first group I ever saw (at St Stephens Church Hall at Astley I think it was 1963).
The only two members I can remember were Bill Corrigan who played drums and Johnny Worrall lead guitar.

Ken Hayes played guitar with the band can't remember if he played Bass or Rhythm. His girlfriend Carol's (now his wife) name was on his guitar in gold letters. I saw them last week at the Pressmen's reunion.
