Hello Carl,
Sad to hear about the passing of your dad. We used to spend late evenings/early mornings on Brazil St. after rehearsals and gigs. As part of the Manchester scene we were made very welcome and enjoyed some to class cabaret.

I grew up in Lancashire in the 60s, now live in Bristol. Went to all the usual places, Nelson Imp, Burnley Mecca, Oasis, Beachcomber Bolton etc. I have a "quiz" for anyone interested. A footballer friend of mine played for England and scored 2 goals on his debut against Brazil. He was also a singer and appeared twice in the same night, at the "Southern?" in Hyde and in Stockport, on the same bill as The Beatles. If you are interested in football and the Sixties Scene it doesn't get better than that! Can anyone put a name to this "special" man?

I think the singing footballer you're thinking of is Colin Grainger.

I am the proud owner of Charlie Sidebottom's drum kit . Drummer with Deke Bonner and the Tremors. I got the kit from his son Gary and spent a long time restoring it. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures of Charlie playing it during the 60's. I believe pictures were taken of Deke Bonner and the Tremors playing 'The Cavern'many years ago.

In reply to Keith Halson -
My parents were both in the band Fairfield Welles and it was a lovely surprise to see them mentioned on this site - I will be directing them here as I am sure it will bring back fantastic memories for them.
