Lee Shondell and the Premiers of Beat (formed in 1958 in Wythenshawe, Manchester 22). Picture taken in 1962 at The Embassy Club, Westbourne Grove off Rochdale Road, Harpurhey, Manchester 9. The group from left to right was Lee Shondell (Kenneth Wroe) (b. 1943) on lead vocals, Brian Wrightson on rhythm guitar, Eric 'Ric' Rothwell on drums (b. Mar 11, 1944), Dave Mirrelson on bass and Frank Renshaw on lead guitar (June 22, 1943 - July 16, 2024).

My sister Val Turnbull  knew this group and the unamed  guitarist on the left is Brain Wrightson her ex husband.
Val knew most of the people mentioned on the site were her contemporaries and lived near us in Wythenshawe.
