Goodbyes

Sadly, as the years progress, we lose our friends.  Some we are able to farewell but others  pass without our knowledge.

It has been suggested (thanks Fred and Keith) that we mark their passing on the site.

Initially, please use the comments section and I will work out a better option.

Hello Paul, so sorry to hear that sad news. That must have been a shock for you, at least you will have so many great memories and had so many wonderful times together. I remember seeing you on more than one occasion in Manchester and being envious of your great line up. I have not mentioned it before and I am not certain but I think we were at the same audition as you were for Opportunity knocks. I got sick of waiting for our audition slot and left in the afternoon. As Barry Gibb once famously said first fame. This is why your website is so important to us all, keep up the great work.
Kindest Regards.
Ian.

Joe { the blow} Carol a very capable sax player who was with me and the Night Train in Germany and the Rumble Fat Band. Joe was left very disabled after Sepsis did its awful work.

Best known in the Manchester area for his work with the Richard Kent Style,  Dave Bowker whom I enjoyed a stint within London as a 4-piece called Grand Slam. Dave had relocated to Arizona changed his name to Mr Bowler and diched the 4 strings for six and had 3 lovely daughters. Dave had 3 lovely girls and carried on playing even when the cancer got a hold of him. A real trooper.

Spare a thought for both these RIP.
