Tomorrow's Children had a line-up of Ian 'Gadge' Garner on lead guitar, Pete Freeman on rhythm guitar (b. Peter Freeman), Ben Brierly on bass (b. Benjamin Brierly) and Sid Redman (or Redmond) on drums. In 1967 the group was joined by 18-year-old Chris Statham on lead vocals (b. Christopher Statham, Thursday, September 15, 1949, Stockport, Cheshire, England). He played his first gig on Monday, December 18, 1967 at The Reddish Vale School, Reddish Vale Road, Reddish, Stockport, Cheshire. Statham had been in a number of bands; The Satellites (from Early 1963), The Bouncers (from Jan 1965), Skid (from July 1965) and The Inner Mind (Sept 1966 - Mar 1967). Statham left Tomorrow's Children in June 1968 and auditioned with Bredbury, Cheshire band Sad Soul, but after he jammed with Axis he preferred their music and joined them instead in November 1968 replacing their rhythm guitarist Nick Fairbrother. The band may have had Frank Edwards on bass? Brierly in 1975 met famous 60's singer Marianne Faithfull (b. Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull, Sunday, December 29, 1946, Hampstead, North West London, England d. Thursday, January 30, 2025 in London, England). They were later married on Sunday, July 8, 1979 at Chelsea Old Town Hall Registry Office, King's Road, Chelsea, South West Londo. They divorced in 1986. Brierly was also in The Vibrators (1978) founded in February 1976 in London by Knox on guitar, vocals (b. Ian Milroy Carnochan, Tuesday, September 4, 1945, Cricklewood, North West London, England) (ex-The Renegades, 196? - 196?, Knox and the Knight Ryders, 196? - 196?). As for Brierly, he joined Streak (1972 - Late 1973) using the name Ben Bryan.
