It is an understated fact that Pete was an accomplished player of jazz, and I remember. our one on one times, bass and guitar, usually Wes Montgomery. One I particularly remember was Polka Dots and Moonbeams.
Laura. Great video. Unusual lineup to the band with two keyboards and apparently no bass. It was great to see and hear Pete once more. Was he playing a Les Paul.
Chris, Paxton street was opposite the shoeing forge, and behind Rowlands bakery. I remember you as a young paper boy. Did you ever get your guitar back.
Laura - so glad to see your note re Pete (Chet). He was brilliant. I learned so much from watching him play and still love all the music he introduced me too. He really was an amazing guitarist. I only found this Vedettes listing today and am over the moon to see the photographs of your dad. Chris Jarvis
The College theatre club was in Moss Side and was a big club. I remember some of big names of the sixties playing there. Chris I think your memory of it is a little off It was just round the corner from the Crescent.
Do you remember me Chris. I was in Paxton street and you delivered a paper. I also played with Dave Bamford in the Intruders. My best times though , was in the Vedettes. Nice to know you are still around. John Hall
