Does anybody remember the Gaiety Bar on the North Pier,it was a small theatre type venue at the front of the pier. I did summer season there in 1970 as a singer. It was packed and the audience was brilliant every night. I was doing lots of Jack Jones material at the time along with lots of popular stuff of the time. Freddy Star was topping the bill and Jimmy Tarbuck was topping the bill at the South pier, on many occasions after the show I would go along with most of the other artists to the Lemon Tree at Squires Gate which was the a Disco, and had some great nights there being very entertained by Jimmy, who was and still is the best comedian we have. Fantastic Times and memories, I just wondered if anyone remembers those times or was there.
