Knightsbridge Club (Liverpool)

The Knightsbridge Club was in Duke Street, Liverpool 1 and opened on Friday, May 15, 1964 with Lulu and the Luvvers, Earl Royce and the Olympics, Vic and the TT's and The Blackwells.

The Knightsbridge Club was on the corner of Duke Street and Kent Street and was owned by Paul Orr (b. 1916).

 On Wednesday, November 1, 1978 at the Knightsbridge Club there was an explosion and the club burnt down.

This is wrong. The Knightsbridge was an aborted Beat night meant to be held in the restaurant of the Liver Building.
Due to legal issues, the two nights that were booked ended up being held on the Royal Iris and never picked up again

My mother worked there in 1977, the owner was called John. I used to work the odd shift in the basement where the pool table was. It was at the top of Duke Street on the right
